1) What this is
Mythare Tavern is a public chat room using XMPP (also called Jabber) and hosted with the Prosody server on mythare.net. By joining or participating, you agree to follow these Terms.
2) Age requirement
You must be 13+ to use this chat. If your local laws require a higher minimum age to use online services, you must meet that requirement.
3) The rules
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or dox anyone
- Use hate speech or advocate violence
- Share illegal content, sexual content involving minors, or anything exploitative
- Spam, flood, or attempt to disrupt the room/server
- Post malware/phishing links or attempt to steal credentials
- Impersonate others in a harmful or deceptive way
Friendly debate is fine. Personal attacks and targeted drama aren’t.
4) Privacy & logging
- Messages may be logged/archived for moderation and abuse prevention.
- Your JID (e.g.,
name@domain) and network metadata may appear in server logs as part of normal operation. - Do not post sensitive personal information. Assume what you post may be stored.
5) Moderation
The server operator and moderators may remove content, mute, kick, or ban users to keep the room usable and safe. Attempts to evade moderation may result in bans.
6) Service is “as-is”
No uptime guarantees. Features may change or be removed at any time.
7) Liability
You are responsible for what you post. The server operator is not responsible for user-generated content or any damages resulting from using the service.
8) Changes
These Terms may be updated. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
